I was 13, early morning inside a crowded public bus going to school in Rio de Janeiro. With a permanent, thick, square tip black marker in hand about to write my first tag ever. I remember the adrenaline rush as I feel it coming back to me as I write this. The creative reason behind my project is still alive today. The calligraphy, the design, the signature, the abstraction, and the energy in a single simple composition. As an exercise, I created and wrote the tags you see in the video above.
